Bama's biggest Rivals

I'm new to these here parts, so to get things started, who do you think are ya'lls top 5 rivals. The world knows that #1 is the dam War Chicken, so lets start with 1a, shall we?

First of all, you should correct the spelling of Bama.

1. Auburn
2. Tennessee
3. LSU
4. Miss. St.

Miss. St. a rival? Give me a break. You obviously grew up in the new age of Alabama football.

4. Penn State
5. LSU

I mean, yeah, maybe not anymore, but those were HUGE rivals. Even now, though, I wouldn't list Miss. State as a rival. If I had to choose SEC rivals it would be this.

1. Auburn(big rival)
2. Tennessee(i hate tennessee....i HATE them...)
3. LSU(the fans were so rude to all of us in the band, showing their kids how to flip us off...no, i mean it. grabbing their hands and making the sign FOR them)
4. Florida(history of playing them in the SEC Championship)
5. Georgia (...go teach the Bulldogs to behave...)

Actually, Bama's biggest rival(s)

are not in the SEC. They are the top ten winningest schools in the country. USC, Mich, ND, OU, etc....Bama worries about how they are doing, whether they win or lose, and how it will effect Bama's standing in the national polls. We do not want any team to do something Bama has not done yet (such as 3 peat)..... and we look at the all-time number of wins. Since Bama has been on probation, alot of teams were able to either close the gap or pass Bama in all-time wins. Some of those teams have won NC since Bama last did, while some lesser teams have taken advantage of Bama's unfair probation to win a NC as well.

As far as the SEC, Bama does not look at any team as truly a top rival, we look at Ole Miss the same as LSU, and USC the same as UT, and UF the same as UK etc. AU is only a close rival due to it being in the same state.

Bayou, I am not sure that the barn has been our number one rival the past few years, the viles have gained a lot of ground recently.

I figured as much. I have to admit that It makes me proud that a program with such a storied past would consider LSU one of their biggest rivals.

LSU biggest rivals IMO;

1.) Tulane. If you’re not from Louisiana, you wouldn’t understand.
2.) Auburn. We know why you guys hate them so much.
3.) Florida. Nothing like owning them in the swamp.
4.) Ole’Miss. Nuff said
5.) Bama.

And bayou, as far as Delta Downs goes, I was never there.

The Barn has to be #1. Cigars...Even Duval warming up with the band on the field was a disgrace

Ole Miss would like for LSU to be consider them their biggest rival but LSU would never think that.

Tenn and Aub. After that I don't care.

Dunno how anyone would consider LSU a rival. We own them something like 47-16.They just have crap fans. MSU LOL.

IMO My Top 10
1. Tenn.- our oldest (I think) and most heated rivalry as of late.
2. Auburn - its hard to beat the Iron Bowl
3. LSU- one of my favorite games. I consider them a big rival, especially this year.
4. Florida - Spurrier and all the SEC championship games.
5. Arkansas - I just plain dont like them and the series is very close, with Bama leading by only 1 or 2 games.
6. Georgia - their mentioned in the fight song.
7. Penn St. - another close series
8. Notre Dame - college football greatness rivalry.
9. So. Miss - I enjoyed playing them every year.
10. Ga. Tech - old, old, sec rivalry and their in the fight song.

EWE, just curious but where would LSU rank Texas A&M on the rivalry list, because yall played them quite a few times.

#2 will always be the viles...why, great tradition between the two teams and it was a game of respect until phat phil the phool...

#3 is ND...why, they are the media darling and cheated us out of a NC in '66...

#4 texas...why, we have never beat the horns...that needs to change...

#5 ga/fla/lsu...why, they are in the SEC...
