Oh, I'd bet he knew - Saban wanted him in early 2023 before he hired Reese. Between that and the month-plus he was set to be Bama's OC before accepting the Seattle job, he had plenty of time to scope out who he would be coaching...
I’m sure he knows him by name. My point was simply Grubb isn’t sitting there watching news to see when Milroe is leaving Tuscaloosa so that he can finally come here. Bottom line is he doesn’t wanna be in Tuscaloosa.

Milroe might live rent free in my head, but not Grubb’s lol

So my question: are we sending Hitchsler packing because we needed to make room for Morrell on field, or he didn’t get the job done, or the players didn’t like him or a combination of all three?
I don’t see how he didn’t get the job done , they played pretty well especially considering they lost Kool Aid, Downs, Arnold, Ricks , Amos from last years team. Ricks , Downs and Amos should still be here.

I guess that's all we can do. I've been waiting by the phone for him to call and ask me what to do, but my phone isn't ringing. ;)
That’s because you are second on his speed dial. I’m ahead of you. I’ve been on a call with him since 7:00 am 😂😂😂

He's called me twice today already, but he asked me not to reveal what we discussed on this forum. But standby...you're going to like what happens next!

Yes, and Milroe was materially worse in his decision making this season than last.

So again, not sure it points to Rees being better - I think Milroe hit his ceiling and more teams knew how to attack him this season as there was a lot more film.
yep - once there was enough film on him, he got pretty easy to defend. Started to happen last year, and then the teams with remotely enough talent this year completely shut him down. There were just not enough options for what he could actually do to try to change up and take the things the D was giving and they knew what they could give without him being able to really exploit it.

We don't know the dynamics behind the scenes with his relationship with Wommack and his knowledge of his type of defense and his recruiting may not have been up to snuff. Linquist and he worked together in the secondary and he may have seen some issues with what and how he taught.
