I’m sure he knows him by name. My point was simply Grubb isn’t sitting there watching news to see when Milroe is leaving Tuscaloosa so that he can finally come here. Bottom line is he doesn’t wanna be in Tuscaloosa.Oh, I'd bet he knew - Saban wanted him in early 2023 before he hired Reese. Between that and the month-plus he was set to be Bama's OC before accepting the Seattle job, he had plenty of time to scope out who he would be coaching...
I don't know whether I'd laugh or scratch my headA very funny, very possible scenario is if seatle drafts milroe and grubb comes to Bama as OC.
I don’t see how he didn’t get the job done , they played pretty well especially considering they lost Kool Aid, Downs, Arnold, Ricks , Amos from last years team. Ricks , Downs and Amos should still be here.So my question: are we sending Hitchsler packing because we needed to make room for Morrell on field, or he didn’t get the job done, or the players didn’t like him or a combination of all three?
If he gets let go by Seattle he might take it.............hard to say what will happenI’m sure he knows him by name. Milroe might live rent free in my head, but not Grubb’s lol
I guess that's all we can do. I've been waiting by the phone for him to call and ask me what to do, but my phone isn't ringing.I am just going to trust that DeBoer has a plan and see how it plays out.
Roll Tide!
He will call you when he gets done dissecting my plansI guess that's all we can do. I've been waiting by the phone for him to call and ask me what to do, but my phone isn't ringing.![]()
That’s because you are second on his speed dial. I’m ahead of you. I’ve been on a call with him since 7:00 amI guess that's all we can do. I've been waiting by the phone for him to call and ask me what to do, but my phone isn't ringing.![]()
He's called me twice today already, but he asked me not to reveal what we discussed on this forum. But standby...you're going to like what happens next!I guess that's all we can do. I've been waiting by the phone for him to call and ask me what to do, but my phone isn't ringing.![]()
We now know that we can blame you if we are not going to like what happens next. He's called me twice today already, but he asked me not to reveal what we discussed on this forum. But standby...you're going to like what happens next!
Make sure he has the right number for me. It's BR549.That’s because you are second on his speed dial. I’m ahead of you. I’ve been on a call with him since 7:00 am![]()
yep - once there was enough film on him, he got pretty easy to defend. Started to happen last year, and then the teams with remotely enough talent this year completely shut him down. There were just not enough options for what he could actually do to try to change up and take the things the D was giving and they knew what they could give without him being able to really exploit it.Yes, and Milroe was materially worse in his decision making this season than last.
So again, not sure it points to Rees being better - I think Milroe hit his ceiling and more teams knew how to attack him this season as there was a lot more film.
Yeah, but the funniest part will be if Milroe gets drafted at all...A very funny, very possible scenario is if seatle drafts milroe and grubb comes to Bama as OC.
How did Seattle do this year?Maybe we are waiting for Black Monday? For those that do not know Black Monday is the Monday after the last regular season NFL game. There are a slew of firings and there may possibly be a current OC available.
Milroe will probably run 4.4 at the combine and some owner will fall in love and draft him in the first round. Who cares about scouts opinion?Yeah, but the funniest part will be if Milroe gets drafted at all...(Seriously)
I can't imagine ANY scout recommending Milroe for their team.![]()
Someone may draft him and tell him he is changing positions..........he cant pout thenYeah, but the funniest part will be if Milroe gets drafted at all...(Seriously)

We don't know the dynamics behind the scenes with his relationship with Wommack and his knowledge of his type of defense and his recruiting may not have been up to snuff. Linquist and he worked together in the secondary and he may have seen some issues with what and how he taught.I don’t see how he didn’t get the job done , they played pretty well especially considering they lost Kool Aid, Downs, Arnold, Ricks , Amos from last years team. I would welcome him for sure. He's a great playcaller. However, we can't just discount how much it sucks when you live somewhere you don't want to live.If he gets let go by Seattle he might take it.............hard to say what will happen
Well, there would be no such thing as smart owners...without the stupid ones.Milroe will probably run 4.4 at the combine and some owner will fall in love and draft him in the first round. Who cares about scouts opinion?
No, I'm not discounting that..............Portland and Seattle have a weird vibe that many like. But sometimes a paycheck trumps living arrangementsI would welcome him for sure. He's a great playcaller. However, we can't just discount how much it sucks when you live somewhere you don't want to live.
