Dylan Moses Returning

I've not really noticed that anyone has. Ridiculing mental illness is not something we allow here. The gentleman is obviously suffering from a mental disorder. No one files what he filed with the Circuit Court of Appeals who is mentally sound. His delusions are apparently pretty well-known. It's really sad, in the end. I'm sure Dylan is very attached to and forgiving, understanding of his father's problems. That would be typical of this sort of situation. At the same time, I feel that he is likely accustomed to having to make his own decisions. I'd be very surprised if the father has a lot of impact. The LA bar needs to do its duty and suspend his license on grounds of disability. Unfortunately, he can keep on filing on his own behalf, which is what the CCA considered his appeal to have been, since the appellant was made up out of whole cloth. This type of foolishness is a waste of precious legal resources, the financial support for which has become very difficult to obtain...

So, you read the filing then? :)

Dylan's dad is a 100% nut ball. Don't believe me? Check out this decision issued in the last 30 days by the United States 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. Dylan's dad is the plaintiff

Reminds me of a case I ran across in UA Law School in the 70s where a guy from North Carolina tried to sue Satan for screwing up his life.

I've been looking at court opinions for a long time. To borrow an old line about Earl Campbell, this one may not be in a class by itself, but it doesn't take long to call the roll!

At the risk of going way off track and waaaaay out of my realm of expertise - I think some people are just strange and seek attention - not actually mentally ill. I would never call anyone with diagnosed mental illness (bi-polar, depression, OCD, etc) a nut ball. Look at us, we're enjoying spending time conversing with somewhat strangers on a college football board. For me, it's not even about a school I cared about until 4 years ago. Maybe I'm the nut ball. :ROFLMAO:

That was certainly the intent of the profession at its beginning. But the terms muckraking and yellow journalism have been around for over a 100 years. I'm not saying those terms define this current activity, just that journalism has been unwell for many many years.
The date of that type of communication coincides with the invention of the printing press...

I would agree with you, except for the fact that he is indeed a member of the bar and the cockeyed appeal filing with the CCA. That goes way beyond "look at me"...

ESPN is not running the story which says something too.
They are not hiding it, either. I have heard it mentioned on a few of their shows today, including PTI. They are just saying that there could be some questions about his returning - being noncommittal.

ESPN released notification that said “Moses dad released statement saying son gave ‘unadvised commitment.”

So, ESPN actually spoke with Dylan's father. Give this a read: ESPN Article

A key excerpt makes it look like they are trying to be sure that Dylan gets adequate LOV insurance in place before he decides.

Thursday night, Edward Moses Jr. told ESPN that he's looking into what type of insurance policy Dylan would be able to obtain if he were to return to Alabama after his current policy lapses, and that Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban and the coaching staff have been "very understanding and supportive of Dylan."
