Seems like every time we get it close, we start making goofball shot attempts instead of working for a good shot.

Auburn is stronger physically pretty much at every position. That is taking a toll on our guys. And the refs are allowing two hands to be put on ball handlers. That plays into their hands.

Irony is that 5/14 would be a tie game. And yet still bad shooting.

I think all the hoopla surrounding the game caused us to be a little more uptight than we are normally. Hopefully we'll shake it off and come out in the second half more relaxed and confident. AU is #1 for a reason but we're not playing like we can play for much of the first half.

Observations

• Not terrible on turnovers, but if we're not hitting shots, every turnover matters greatly.
• Nelson has 7 rebounds but is 2-7 from field
• Omoruyi has 8 rebounds

Auburn is playing outstanding defense on us AND guarding us one on one with no help. We cannot get a good look at a three pointer. We have made two comebacks, the last with two minutes to go and a two point Auburn lead. In those last two minutes, we had dumb possessions and shoots. Sears, Youngblood and Nelson are on the struggle bus big time. We have to have more out of Holloway, Philon and Stevenson. Personally, I would start Diaoubate in the second half because we are a different team with him on the floor.
