We won the game, don't think Adam missing the first one had anything to do with us going for it at the one how many extra points has he missed, it was the right thing to go for it at the one. The D was great the whole game kept the O in the game, second half O controlled the entire half.

Lots of thoughts here.

1. We made things more difficult than they needed to be.
2. However, Credit to their fans for making it an atmosphere that made it difficult for us to communicate.
3. We're just gonna have to take the good with the bad with 2. For every lost fumble or unnecessary lost yardage trying to make a play, there's a 3rd & 15 run or a 3 & 9 run for a first down.
4. Speaking of, that last field goal was icing, but 2 took their souls with the 2 aforementioned runs. They were done. They were demoralized.
5. And speaking of field goals....let's not speak of field goals
6. Seamless transition from Minkah to safety. Great stuff.
7. We'll need to score the way we did in the 2014 Iron Bowl in this year's rendition. Gotta trust 2 to throw it down the field.
8. Daron Payne is a man. A full grown man.
9. In 3 career games vs. Bama, Fournette has a total of 145 yards and 1 TD (2.5 ypc). That's good work.
10. Tip of the cap to LSU's DC for his game plan. He outcoached Lane tonight. We just have more really good players than they do up front.

"Domination" is a first round knock out. We had to play four quarters against a very talented and determined football team. Why it's so hard to give them credit, I have no idea...soooo.. I'll concede to all you brilliant analysts. We kicked their butts all over the football field and destroyed them 10-0.
Have a good night.

Great game in general. They didn't win by 3 td as I predicted but hey a win is a win :)
If Bama does make it to the playoffs, we can safely say they have been battle-tested this season. LSU played a great game defensively. They had the athletes to limit us to one score which is saying a lot honestly. I was happy that Bama kept their poise and kept fighting. JH played like he was shook for most of the first half but he kept his composure and made the plays when it mattered the most. Just want them to keep fighting as a team for the remainder of the season and finish strong.

Last year when we played LSU...
Leonard Fournette was the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy going into the game...
We shut him down and shut down his Heisman hopes too.

This year when we played LSU...
Leonard Fournette was again in the Heisman Conversation.
We shut him down, and likely shut down his Heisman chances once again.

Tonight's game was dominated by Defenses. Ours and theirs.
The difference in the game was Jalen Hurts.
Jalen did not have a good game... All he did was run for more than a Hundred Yards and win.
Jalen made several mistakes, but he didn't get flustered... He played thru them and eventually scored our only TD. A WIN IS A WIN IS A WIN...

Last three times LSU has been shut out @ home has come against Bama:
1996- 26-0
2001- 31-0
2016- 10-0

Also tonight is the first time a team has beaten 4 ranked teams in a row since AU did it in 1983.

We played an absolutely fantastic game against a great opponent. Our defense dominated. Our offense WAS dominated by THEIR defense.
We won, that's what matters. But to sit here and say we "dominated' is about the stupidest statement I've ever read in my entire life.
Now bring on the arguments. We won, I'm happy as hell that we did, but to say we dominated is ridiculous.
You wouldn't describe this as domination?

I'm still so keyed up I don't know how I'm going to get to sleep tonight!! What a defensive performance!! In THREE games against us Fournette has gone:

2014 - 21 carries 79 Yrds 0TD's 3.8 YPC
2015 - 19 carries 31 Yrds 1TD's 1.6 YPC
2016 - 17 carries 35 Yrds 0TD's 2.1 YPC

His 3 year combined totals are:

57 carries 145 Yrds 1TD's 2.5 YPC

That's just AMAZING!!! We really have made him Leonard Two-nette....LOL.
I was think Leonard ForNaught. (Or ForNowt, for our UK members.)

All good points, but #8 is absolute truth. Good GRIEF!

Hurts had his "Freshman moment" this game. I knew it was coming just didn't know which game. You could tell the kid got shook and was overwhelmed for a lot of that game. But toward the end of that game you could tell he pulled it together and led this team to another victory. My guess is this game and this experience will grow him mightily for the rest of the season. He weathered the storm and ripped their heart out. He's a cold blooded "killer". But he's our cold blooded killer! LOL!

One more thought:

Hate that we allowed this game to go into the 4th without being comfortably ahead. Got a suddenly cocky Miss St team at 11 am Saturday. Gotta re-boot and focus. Can't come out flat next week.

Their defense played very well, but I can honestly say that our offense helped their defense in stopping our offense. I counted 5 plays in the first half where the whole offense wasn't running the same play. That's kind of important. But as I stated in a previous post, I credit their crowd for creating that atmosphere to make communication difficult if not impossible.

Yeah, I see this being one of those 21-10 type wins. MSU benefits from playing us after LSU almost every year.
