The more I see the more I think he was the straw that mixed the drink. On the other hand this offensive group was capable of making the best OC look like they were clueless..I wonder how much of it was Grubb sometimes

Well, with some luck next year will be different...........I know the QBs on the roster can throw better and I have no doubt they can run more than 4 plays. Need an OC who can exploit thatThe more I see the more I think he was the straw that mixed the drink.
Shouldn’t this have been a huge red flag. Instead of showing Milroe the door in the spring and installing the offensive that is your claim to fame, he just chose to go with a square peg in a round hole. That tells me that coach was scared to lay down the hammer and that kind of coach will always fail at Bama.I get it, but we have to have someone at QB who can run a capable offense before we can evaluate anything this season. Read Jess's write up on this game and season about how they had to cobble together 'stuff' to try to create an offense JM could kinda run. Literally almost everything they would want to do are things that JM can't, and JM doesn't do enough other stuff well enough for it to be a cohesive offensive approach.
I think he was a more important piece of the puzzle than people were willing to admit at the time.I wonder how much of it was Grubb sometimes
Perfect place for ANYONE to have runWith Milroe, the playbook only has about four plays in it...🙄
or luck ...I wonder how much of it was Grubb sometimes
You can't let the team or yourself be hostage to the whims of one egoThe thing that will stick with me, and not in a good way, was CKD unwillingness to sit Milroe when it was clear he was struggling. Not even to sit for a couple of series in an attempt to settle him down. Early in the year, Quinn Ewers was clearly struggling (against Oklahoma maybe?). Sark pulled him for the next two series and sent in Arch Manning. Not that Manning did much better, but when Ewers went back in, the offense started clicking.
So was Milroe so fragile mentally that CKD couldn’t pull for fear of “losing†him or the team? If Sark was willing to sit Ewers to “wake him up†in the second quarter of a game, then why not DeBoer? To me it shows weakness and indecision on the part of CKD.
There was every reason versus Tennessee, Oklahoma and Michigan to do just that. Send a message.
And he sat on his hands.
There wasn't a single Michigan receiver that played today that had over 134 yards on the season. The RBs that played had a combined 64 yards on the year.
DeBoer and this staff took what Saban built and destroyed it in 1 year. All the hype about his offensive mind and we saw zero evidence of it all year. You know what, if Milroe is that bad of a fit for your offense then you should have told him to hit the portal in the spring so you could install your playbook.
if Milroe comes back next year then I’m done with this coaching staff and Bama football until they are all out of Tuscaloosa. If Milroe leaves then DeBoer gets 1 more year to show me this amazing offensive mind.

I will not believe Milroe is gone until I hear it from him.
I just don't think there is anyway he can come back here. Wouldn't be surprised if he transferred instead of trying to go to the NFL thoughI will not believe Milroe is gone until I hear it from him.

Milroe will not get drafted. He will be playing college football next year.
I didn’t think there was anyway he’d still be starting after his crappy play but here we are.I just don't think there is anyway he can come back here. Wouldn't be surprised if he transferred instead of trying to go to the NFL though
Yes to the fragile mental makeup and Yes to CKD being (to borrow a word from B1G) feckless.
A team is a reflection of their HC and we are screaming 'soft'.
