JessN: Potential transfer portal targets as Bama remakes its roster

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

In our SEC championship win against UGA, in the 4th quarter DJ Fluker is said to have come to the line, looked across and tell the UGA lineman and linebacker, "We're coming over me." They never stopped that run...
Those kinds of stories still give me chills about college football. All stories these days about college football make me laugh or want to puke. :ROFLMAO:

Is it possible that Roberts gets a look at tackle? He has the size. We could then look at smaller/faster guys at guard for the pulling that DeBoer is looking to implement.

I think the plan is to keep the big guys inside. Getting to light inside is a death sentence in the sec. But tackles have probably needed to lighten up for a while now.

Man, we need to find/develop another alpha dog like this. We didn’t have one in 2024. We had solid play given the QB situation. But, man I love that kind of attitude. It’s why he had a fairly long career in the NFL too.

Room is too crowded. Someone has to go. Maybe Williams, or Mbakwe? Horton seems to have outstayed his welcome.
Given DeBoer’s offensive scheme this is about right numbers wise. Plus you have Hale missing a full season last year due to injury, Cole Adams banged up most of this past season, and Meadows, while a talented 4 star prospect, many think he needs a year in the program to mature physically.

Plus you need them on special teams. And injuries can decimate you quickly at that position. Just look at Oklahoma this past season and us in 2021.

Man, we HAVE to get QB right. The only real concerns on this team next season are QB and maybe some pieces of the OL (specifically RT). If we get QB right that should be able to cover for some of the OL issues if there are some.

Honestly, might be worth spending some money to shore up the OL more and look around at QBs.
Yep, with slightly above average QB play, Alabama wins it all next year. You do not need Tua or Bryce - just someone who can distribute the ball and avoid turnovers.
