The Republican Vote Suppression Machine Is Out of Control

  • Hi Guest, we are working on updating the site servers and software. We're also 'forcing' everyone to read and agree to our site privacy policy and terms of service. There are no significant changes to either of these but the terms page does clarify a few things that are mostly in the legalese. You can just click the checkbox for both and continue using the site as usual! We'll update you more on the site upgrades VERY soon! THANK YOU AS ALWAYS for supporting the site and being an active participant!

Yes, and the party.
To be sure the Democrats are in a much stronger position with Harris at the top of the ticket than Biden, but they did hold an election and then told the voters "wrong."
It wasn't a true "election" but she was on the ticket that was running in the primaries. And if the President becomes ill, incapacitated, or dies, she's the POTUS.

If we want to talk disenfranchisement, I submit the idiotic "Electoral College". We have been told(brainwashed) since grade school civics that the EC was great because it protects the small states from being ignored. Well, today's headlines tell me that 7 states are going to make the difference in November. How much time is Trump going to spend in Wyoming? How much time is Harris going to spend in RI? Neither state is in play. Both candidates are going to spend their time and $$$ in those 7 states.

Meanwhile, a Republican who goes to the poll in RI(or insert any blue state) is casting a wasted ballot. Vice-versa for a Democrat in WY. Wasted because the EC doesn't respect one-man/one-vote.

I'm not trying to make too much of it and it is not analogous to voter suppression in the general election. I just noticed that 14 million people voted for the guy and he's not on the ticket now.

this seems like it is going to end well

I've taken the liberty of revising the Gettysburg Address to conform to Ziklag.

that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom -- and that government of the Christians, by the Christians, for the Christians, shall not perish from the earth.

Here we go again. The state of Florida has now ordered Supervisors of Elections offices in key urban areas to “review” signed petitions used to get the FL abortion amendment on the ballot to determine if there was “fraud.”

what I said in the FL thread, they know they are dead with abortion on the ballot so they are trying to manufacture a reason to remove it. My only surprise is that they aren't doing the same thing with the weed initiative they have on the ballot this time too

Desantis hates the people ruling themselves. He's another that wants to domineer over the lessers in society.

more Georgia shenanigans

Just remember when the stuff goes down after the election that this is all hyperbole and the real election interference is being done by those working to make sure the true results are followed and the true winner entering office.

Also, remember that the many citizens being denied the right to vote arbitrarily because a random stranger flagged them on a government website or officials arbitrarily removed them from the rolls are inconsequential compared to the miniscule number of ineligible voters who somehow manage to vote despite all the backstops against it.
