It wasn't a true "election" but she was on the ticket that was running in the primaries. And if the President becomes ill, incapacitated, or dies, she's the POTUS.
If we want to talk disenfranchisement, I submit the idiotic "Electoral College". We have been told(brainwashed) since grade school civics that the EC was great because it protects the small states from being ignored. Well, today's headlines tell me that 7 states are going to make the difference in November. How much time is Trump going to spend in Wyoming? How much time is Harris going to spend in RI? Neither state is in play. Both candidates are going to spend their time and $$$ in those 7 states.
Meanwhile, a Republican who goes to the poll in RI(or insert any blue state) is casting a wasted ballot. Vice-versa for a Democrat in WY. Wasted because the EC doesn't respect one-man/one-vote.
