I think if you are out of state you can purchase it through ESPN Gameplan. Maybe channel 461 where the in-state PPV is on 455 I think. Forward through the guide and hit info on the other channel. If it is the gameplan channel, just try to purchase it through your remote. You don't have to wait until game time, or at least it has already allowed me to purchase the PPV channel.

You can buy it on ppv basis in Alabama and Hawaii. You must buy the gameplan to view the game anywhere else in the country. It is offered on two different channels: GP(gameplan) and GPP(gameplan PPV), which is only offered to HI or AL residents. I live in NC and purchased gameplan a couple weeks ago. We'll have several games on it this year with our schedule so it's definitely worth it to me. Otherwise, you can just go to a sportsbar and watch it- they'll have it.

:conf2: I called Dishnetwork tech help to order the game and they told me they would order it for me and would waive the 5 dollar fee, since I was so confused. But, they couldn't guarantee that it wouldn't be blacked-out, that I would get to watch all the ppv games played on Sat. Also, I was told that I should order it on the Gameplan the next time, but I needed a phone line hooked up to the box and I don't have a phone jack near it. Will someone please give me some good, accurate advice? I'm totally frustrated.

ESPN Gameplan for the Hawaii vs Alabama game is blackout in Alabama and Hawaii due to CSTV Pay-Per View. All other 48 states can view the game through ESPN Gameplan.

Sloan, I agree w/ IL4B. Have you tried purchasing w/ your dish network remote on the gameplan channel and not on the PPV channel?
