Questions about Milroe.

Where did I ever say that? I said this team’s problems are caused by NIL entitlements. You then said I had no proof. Saban himself is the proof.
Apologize. Didnt mean to come across as argumentative. I see your point. I’m aware that Saban mentioned the players asking about money. However, there is no proof that NIL and the situation Saban mentioned are having any impact on our team’s play. That’s an assumption, not fact. Many factors could be the cause of our crappy showings.

JM can't throw too many of the routes even in a limited route tree - at least not with the timing and accuracy required.
Dig that. Obviously, there are some things Milroe can do and decision making is not one of them. So, the plan needs to be:

1 - emphasize running the flipping football
2 - design high percentage passing plays with one hot route
3 - increase designed runs by the QB since he is a runner

I dunno, just think we are putting too much thinking into the gameplan for a running QB. We can see from the cheap seats that he cannot read the field so don't ask him to do it.

My concern is that JM will struggle against Mizzou, then play terribly in Baton Rouge, forcing the staff to insert TS, in a hostile environment, without the practice reps with the 1s, and he won't be ready for that stage. Then, when TS struggles, what do you do?

Go back and watch what CKD likes to do from last year with Penix. You are literally asking him to completely change his offensive philosophy. Should that have been done? If JM was your guy I think so. At this point they seemed to try to mesh what they like to do with what he is good at and it is too late to wholesale change it. We are in quite a precarious situation if I might say so myself.

Milroe enters the portal and he guarantees he never plays another snap of CFB. Good luck with that option.
That's comical. There would be 50 coaches out there who would think they could be the coach who got Milroe over the hump. Gus would certainly come calling because he thinks he could teach him to make the correct read even when others couldn't. Most coaches are pretty arrogant fellows when it comes to their abilities.

Welp, if they don't want to get run out of Tuscaloosa by firing squad then they better do something. If they want to stick to philosophy then they need to change QBs and that does not seem to be on the table.

I've already recognized my mistake. I saw some ESPN information that had him listed as a 4th year Senior as opposed to a RS-Junior. Again, I was wrong.

I agree with you and that is what is the most frustrating thing to me. QB change should definitely be on the table, and the fact it is not is so frustrating. Back when I played, we had "Competition Tuesday," where everybody's job was up for grabs that week. No one should deserve anything you have to earn it every week.

“I just tell him, continue to keep your head up, man,” wide receiver Germie Bernard said. “Just continue to do what you do. Don’t listen to any of the doubters, or like he says, the naysayers. I always tell him, regardless I’ll always have your back, regardless of what anybody else is saying. I just continue to tell him that, so he doesn’t try to get down on himself or anything like that.”
Tight end C.J. Dippre sympathized with Milroe, stating that Alabama has recently faced a few tough defenses that have provided complicated looks. His message to his quarterback is to remain confident in his ability and continue to move forward.

Any idea of this kind of stuff going on at OSU BIGTide?

Curious if there are similar rumblings at other big programs.
We told our starting QB to leave after last season because he wanted to be guaranteed the starting job. We had a starter on our O Line get benched last year for complaining about NIL inequity on the team. Yes - this is killing every top team in one way or another.
