Immigration and Customs Enforcement (I.C.E.)

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

Interesting article. It would be more interesting if the data they used had been "fresher" than 2020.
I was wondering about that, too. I didn't have time to examine it, but the first question that popped into my mind was whether or not the data included 21-25.

Of course, I knew that you would find an excuse not to trust research on this subject. In case you can’t find this readily available info on the internet, here it is:
----
Following the 2020 census, six states gained a total of eight House seats, while seven states lost a total of seven seats. Texas gained two seats, and Colorado, Florida, Montana, North Carolina, and Oregon each gained one. California, Illinois, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia each lost one seat.
——

Let me reiterate, Texas (red +2), Colorado (blue +1), Florida (red +1), Montana (red +1), NC (red +1), Oregon (blue +1).
In total:
Gains: red +5, blue +2

Now you can go back to your regular programming on hating on how Dems invite illegals to get more seats in Congress.

I have to go back to the staleness of this data. The big surge was between 2021 and 2024. Come back to me with the House seat reapportionment with those years figured in. Now you can go back to your regular programming on how the Dems let all the migrants in because they're just "good people" that care about the impoverished.

Next change of seats between the States is expected only in 2030.
I am impressed on how much credit you give to Dems for fwd thinking so far ahead.

2030 is only five short years from now. I can guarantee you both political parties do strategic planning on horizons way longer than that.

Rep. Yvette Clarke (D-NY): "I need more migrants in my district, for redistricting purposes"

This is how you hijack democracy

If you could point out that she is talking about illegals, then I will agree with you.

Otherwise, I am guessing that you are just repeating sound bites from the MAGA media without thinking about what she has actually said

Are we agreeing that up to 2030 (unlike your previous comment about 2020), we don’t have any evidence that illegals have benefited the number of Dems in the Congress, and the rest of your post-2030 post is nothing more than fearmongering?

Well, she didn't say "legal" either mind you. So one would have to assume she meant just plain migrants which would include legal and illegal. Now, here we come a few years later and Biden opens all the gates and puts out a welcome sign and we all know what happened. Man, what a coincidence.

Well, she used the word "migrant", not immigrant. Therefore, it's reasonable to assume she meant exactly what she said and is likely too stupid to realize she said the quiet part out loud.

No. I am saying that basing your assumption, that the mass illegal immigration that occurred in 21 thru 24 will not help Democrats, on 2020 data is flawed. We won't have data to definitively make that statement until the next census. Until then I have to rely on common sense explanations and my spidey sense tells me that Biden didn't open the border to make sure we have enough landscapers and gardeners to work on his Rhode Island hideaway.

If a US citizen moves from CA to NY, then that person is also a migrant.
So, it is not about what she said, but about how the media is trying to interpret her words

And if my aunt had a penis, he'd be my uncle. You know good and well that's not what she's talking about.

I get it. Instead of spending 10 minutes on an internet search to look at which states saw the most significant influx of illegals over the last 4 years, you are going to rely on your feelings instead of data.
Hard to argue with that.

Of course, I understand that she is talking about legal migrants. Because if you stop thinking about your aunt, you will realize that illegals have no benefits for the current Congresswoman, while legal migrants do.
