Ch 12 news in Montgomery had some new info. It seems there are more accusations coming out that the Athletic Dept "steered" athletes to "easy" courses to help keep them eligible. Some courses mentioned included Organic Gardening, and Sports in America. I know I find this hard to believe!

Not surpising at all, but the question is how much of it can be proven and will anyone do anything about it? My prediction is that Auburn officials will keep it down home cuz.

I'm just shocked ! But , let us not forget that the little man , no not tiny terry , Lowder has deeeeeeeeeep pockets .

RTR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Auburn sucks!

Just wanted to say that. I know its not classy. Im just tired of hearing the slogan "one for the thumb". I cant help but say -I Hate Them!:BigA: I really hope this fires up the BAMA NATION! May we beat the hell out of them come November! The way it was and is meant to be! I hope that this will get us even more ready and excited for the season- This is pivotal!:BigA: Roll Tide!

Gundlach seems to have learned a thing or two from the Linda Bensel-Meyers (sp) incident. He's doing a pretty good job of keeping the spotlight focused on the academic issues in his department, in the face of all the pressure I'm sure he is getting from around him. Judging just by the way he speaks, he seems much better suited to deal with a situation like this instead of folding.

At the barn they don't teach atheletes how to use keyboards. They teach them how to plug them in.

Crimson-Blitz,

That is funny and at the same time very true. I am sure most here can tell of such stories. I know I can. My X-sister in law graduated from Auburn. She called one night and ask my Mom how to turn on her computer while still in school at Auburn. My mother looked at me and said "What in the world is your brother doing with that knothead." My brother earned his degree at Georgia Tech in Civil Engineering. That relationship was doomed from the get go.

The real problem at Auburn is as transparent as it could be.

The problem with recruiting academically marginal students, who have no ability or desire to get a college education, is how do you keep them academically eligible until their playing eligibility expires?

Auburn found a way to make this happen. Just create classes that require no work or classroom attendence and then award an "A" to every participant.

Dumb and unmotivated players stay eligible to participate in football, APR goes through the roof and everybody's happy. :) No problem. RTR.
