Bama Game Thread: Official PostGame Thread Bama vs. UTe...

Two things stood out to me tonight. First, to play by far our worst game of the season and win by 22 isn’t awful. Second, the whole game I kept thinking “Burrow and the LSU receivers are going to torch us”. The secondary was sloppy and Lewis, albeit a pretty good one, is our only semblance of a pass rush.

I wasn't one of the guys that was pushing for Mac over Hurts as backup, but I think Mac fits the pedigree of solid Alabama backups in the past (McElroy, McCarron, Sims, Coker, edit: in other words he's no Cooper Bateman) and should in the least be serviceable.

I remember Hurts coming into the USC game and being shaky for a bit as well...……………..then he played well the rest of the way. Hopefully a week of reps with the 1s will get his timing down and they get in sync. He showed flashes of ability with a couple of throws he had.
 
I liked the play with Slade at QB for the TD.Wouldn’t mind seeing him take some snaps next week as well to mix it up.Harris looked like he gets better the more carries he gets.20 plus carries always does a horse like him some good.

He was running with pure anger too...………..didn't want to stop

Some of the slack jawed morons on their board are hoping they ruined Bama's season...………...dream on. I hope they read the board...……………….you lost 13see...…………and the refs didn't steal it from you. Your own ineptness lost it

Always great to beat the Vols!!
I was really proud of the way the stood tough and won with Tua going out.
 
I just wish that the backup QBs would get to throw more in mop up time. All they let Mac do is hand off when he’s been in. I’m not wanting to run up the score just let them be able to be comfortable throwing. They let Tua throw a lot his freshman year and when he was needed in the NC he came through because of it.

I'd like to see him get to throw it a lot as well...……………..and I think we are about to
