JessN: Assistant coach hiring tracker...

Possibly but not necessarily (we actually haven't seen any contract details yet) probably similar pay for both.

Consider that being paid the same as a DC or co DC as you made as a head coach means less work (though still a lot of work) for the same pay.
On a much bigger stage, where your success will be under a brighter spotlight than your previous gig. Because your failure will also cause your coaching career to take a huge hit (not talking first year results), I have to feel optimistic that all involved have the warm and fuzzies about where this thing is headed.
If it’s not onward and upward, it won’t be pretty.

Looks like Baylor oline coach is the hire, actually hasn't coached at Baylor, Michigan State last job, . Michigan State oline allowed 25 sacks last year, so now Coach KD now has a passing game coordinator in Sheppard and a run game coordinator in Kapilovic, so Sheridan will have some help game planning

Getting roasted for the hire on Reddit.

“2019 Colorado: 99th rushing offense

2020 MSU: 123rd rushing offense

2021 MSU: 53rd rushing offense

2022 MSU: 111th rushing offense

2023 MSU: 127th rushing offense

For a guy who's the OL coach and run game coordinator, he seems to coach a lot of teams that are terrible at running the ball”

that’s something I read from someone

He wasn't the OC nor RBs coach. And the talent level of MSU offensive lineman may have been less than Bama's 3rd string. Not to mention the stingy defenses MSU faced in the BIG. 🤷🏼‍♂️ DeBoer thinks he can get r done, so I'm gonna wait and see before I complain.

Yeah but good coaches usually take bad teams and make them better. He got worse year after year… I think just blaming the talent level is a little shallow.
