Tootin my horn, but I said Drake would turn heads

Coach said today that all five guys will play and have a role. Not sure what that will look like, but clearly that's where he's putting things. Hope Dee Hart gets a chance to shine, too.
So that would be something like - Lacy, Fowler, Yeldon, Hart, and Drake...
Behind our offensive line?
Yikes, that is scary. Defenses will be crying "uncle" by mid-way thru the 3rd!!
You mean Eddie Lacy didn't tear his ACL, meet with James Andrews, and will for sure be "out for this year" according to the boog source and twitter bomber that had first hand medical knowledge of rumored injury???:rolleye2:

ACL might be less problematic than turf toe.
I think Ivory will be a backup NG for his career. I think he will get jumped by Lake. Also HaHa has got a lot bigger, he doesnt even look the same.
You guys seem to have forgotten Fowler. He is pretty good and will likely be the no 2 back at least early in the year. I think he is a lot better than most posters here give him credit for right now. He very well could be the surprise player of the year in my opinion.
Yeldon may be a star in the making, but he has zero snaps in college. Experience makes all the difference in tough situations.
I don't want to say it but I think you are right on, I guess it's better to know now.Obviously you're being facetious, but I do think the Lacy injury is a legitimate concern. It's probably no surprise that as soon as his knee and ankle injuries pop up, suddenly Yeldon is taking first team reps and Saban is talking about all of the backs having a role. I mean, when a guy has knee, ankle, and toe injuries, even if they are all relatively minor, in the aggregate that is a major mitigating factor.
Lacy will play this year, but I think it's pretty clear unless he magically gets a lot better very quickly, we're going to have to be very careful with him. If we can get 150 carries out of him, that might be as much as we can realistically expect barring some medical surprise. I just hope he can shoulder a good bit of the load against Michigan and Arkansas so we give guys like Yeldon, Drake, and Hart some time to get some game reps before they have to take on a bigger share of the burden.
I might be all wrong, but as of right now I just have a hard time believing we can count on Lacy for 20 carries a night in November and (hopefully) December. I don't see how fighting through a couple of months of SEC defenses is going to help him get any better.
