While I agree such comments are tasteless I don’t think for one second they would complain if it had happened to Biden. Not after I have seen jokes for four years about his health issues. Or after all the Brandon posts.

You’re comparing the let’s go Brandon jokes to someone getting shot at? That’s some nonsense dude. That a way to keep that bar low.

If Biden had been shot I’m sure I would have seen an outpouring of love and prayers from the far right.

I've seen "classless" coming from left and right but Trump is horrifically classless and has been from the start. I remember films of his rallies the first go round featuring his supporters coming directly up to media cameras to give one finger gestures and shout nasty, foul mouthed insults. I have been to Trump protest rallies with friends and family. Clearly, I cannot attest to the behavior of everyone in the crowd. This is Palm Beach County and, at that time, our anti-Trump crowd was enormous. However, I can say that everyone anywhere near us was very loud, very determined, quite horrified over this creature having been elected...but not nasty or poorly behaved. I can also say that, as we were leaving, two of the police officers near us told us they had been very worried about this rally since they knew it would be the largest they'd dealt with to that point. They complimented us, saying how orderly and controlled everyone had been. I've done a few more. Never saw anyone get ugly or out of hand and there were no reports of such afterward. I admit that in these parts a large percentage of the crowd will be older people but I didn't see any of the younger ones behaving in a "classless" manner either.
 
Former President Donald Trump’s security detail had complained they were not being given enough resources and personnel by the Secret Service over the past two years, and the agency acknowledged Saturday it denied some requests.

A spokesperson for the Secret Service said in a statement Saturday that the agency has not provided certain resources in the past but has instead provided other security measures including from local partners.

The news comes amid widespread concerns about how a sniper was able to obtain rooftop access roughly 150 meters from Trump’s position at an outdoor rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, last week.
